A co-educational public college, Coodanup College is located 80km south of Perth in the beautiful, coastal City of Mandurah. Catering for years 7-12, we aim to instil ambition and drive in our students throughout their six years at Coodanup, supporting them to gain confidence in their abilities.

🌊🏊‍♀️ This term we dove into the exciting world of aquatic adventures with our brand-new offering at Coodanup College: Certificate III in Sport, Aquatic, and Recreation!

Our students have been on a thrilling journey filled with adrenaline-pumping activities and invaluable knowledge about the sports and recreation industry.

📚 The adventure began with "Thursday Theory" sessions! The focus has been on essential skills like team building, risk assessments, venue research techniques, industry insights, and environmental impact awareness. Discovering how you can make a positive difference and reduce our ecological footprint while enjoying the wonders of the aquatic world!

🏊‍♀️ Followed by "Fun Time Friday"! On Fridays, we dive headfirst into practical units, taking full advantage of the weather to immerse ourselves in thrilling snorkelling and water rescue activities. The students showcased their preparation skills, equipment handling, risk assessment expertise, and snorkelling prowess. They have explored the mesmerizing Coogee Snorkel Trail and have began mastering crucial water rescue techniques.

🔍Throughout the term, they've delved into various exciting activities and topics, including:

Snorkelling skills development at the captivating Avalon Foreshore.
Understanding the environmental impact of our actions and following the code of practice for schools.
Researching and exploring swim and snorkel sites, including the breathtaking Snorkelling Point Peron.
Reviewing risk assessments and putting theory into practice during our thrilling excursions.

Slide Mandurah Trade Training Centre Coodanup College has a dedicated Trades Skills Centre for students pursuing a career in the painting and decorating and building and construction trades.

The Centre was built to be an environmentally friendly facility and has natural air flow ventilation in all training cubicles with natural sky lighting.

Slide Vino - Educational Support Dog Commencing high school can be a nervous time for students. At Coodanup College, we have adopted a therapy dog program providing social and emotional support to students. Vino is the College’s ‘Educational Support Dog’ and has been fully trained and accredited through Assistance Dog Australia.
